Detailed Itinerary

This is an offbeat tour to explore the surroundings of the historical city Agra. The Chambal safari tour is a favorite destination among wildlife lovers from all over the world. On this tour, you will encounter live alligators, Gangetic dolphins, Marsh crocodiles and mass tortoises while cruising in India's purest river by boat. You can also enjoy bird sightings as Chambal is home to domestic and migratory birds such as Indian skimmers, Greater thick-knees, lapwings and small pratincoles. During this tour, you will get a chance to visit the historic Bateshwar temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. We provide a private car for round trip transportation; an English-speaking naturalist guide; an entrance fee of Chambal Sanctuary with permission for wildlife sightings; exclusive lunch at Chambal Wildlife Resort; and a boat cruise for a river safari.

• Early morning departure from Agra to Chambal River, which is approximately 90 km away and takes around 1.5 hours by road.


• Arrive at the boat ride site and board the boat for a 2-hour ride on the Chambal River.


• Enjoy the scenic beauty of the river and spot various wildlife species, including dolphins, crocodiles, and numerous bird species, such as Indian skimmers, black-bellied terns, and sarus cranes.


• Learn about the conservation efforts to protect the river's biodiversity and its importance for the local communities.


• Take a break and enjoy a packed lunch amid the natural beauty of the Chambal River.


• After lunch, drive back to Agra and retire to your hotel.
