NOTE: Full Day & Half Day Premium safaris are banned from 01’st October 22.

In Ranthambhore, few years back many new changes were introduced in Safari system. Before that it was running like normal safari of Jeep & canter (20 seater open bus). As every park has limited carrying capacity  so does  the Ranthambhore. In previous system if safaris are wait-listed then only option was canter bus. But the new system is very good. If you have money then you can have jeep booked even one hours prior to the safari.

There  are 25 jeeps in 01 to 05 zones in normal pricing which is considered as Prime Zone of the park. These jeeps are booked 150 days in advance prior to the visit date by department website. There are total 10 zones for tourism purpose where vehicles are allotted for safari.

Zone 06 to 10 are also not less important. Out of theses 06, 08 & 10 zones fruitful from good safaris point of view if you take good naturalist with you.

Now after normal pricing jeeps there are 20 Premium/Instant jeeps. The base cost  such jeep is 450 USD per safari & booked on private basis only. The safari duration for Normal & Premium/Instant jeeps are same 3:30 hrs for both morning & afternoon safari. This quota opens 08 days prior to visit date.

Every Wednesday 01 to 05 zones are closed for safaris. So avoid Wednesday in your itinerary.

Premium jeep safaris are meant for those clients who donot have choice beside Ranthambhore due time & itinearay issues. If you have time then no need to spent such amount . In same amount you can have 02 safaris in any Central India park ! Morning safaris are longer here in Central Indian parks which give them an edge. Few parks here are zone free parks which are better than Ranthambhore’s 06-10 zones.
