Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Delhi (No Meals)
Upon arrival at New Delhi International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our airport representative. After assistance with baggage and transfers, you will be driven to your hotel for check-in. Delhi, the vibrant capital of India, serves as a perfect introduction to the country—where modernity coexists with heritage. Spend the evening at leisure, recovering from your journey or exploring the city on your own.

Day 02: Delhi - Agra (B/L/D)
After breakfast, embark on a half-day sightseeing tour of Delhi. Drive past India Gate, a majestic war memorial, and admire the grandeur of President’s House and Parliament House, which symbolise India’s governance and democratic strength. After lunch, begin your drive towards Agra (210 km / approx. 4 hrs). On arrival, check in to your hotel. Agra, once the capital of the Mughal Empire, is renowned worldwide for its architectural wonders. Relax and prepare for the discoveries ahead.

Day 03: Agra - Lucknow (B/L/D)
This morning after breakfast, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Admire the flawless marble architecture, exquisite inlay work, and the romantic legacy of Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. Later, explore the UNESCO-listed Agra Fort, a blend of Islamic and Hindu architectural styles. Spend some time shopping in Agra for handicrafts, marble souvenirs, and local artistry. Return to the hotel for lunch before driving to Lucknow via the modern Expressway (350 km / 4–5 hrs). Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. Enjoy dinner and rest.

Day 04: Lucknow - Sravasti (B/L/D)
After breakfast, depart for Sravasti (180 km / approx. 4 hrs). Once the capital of the ancient Kosala kingdom, Sravasti is closely associated with the life of Lord Buddha, who spent 24 rainy seasons here. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Jetavana Monastery, where Buddha performed many miracles and delivered key teachings. Explore the Angulimala Caves, linked to the reformed bandit Angulimala, and admire the ruins of the King’s Palace Stupa. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner.

Day 05: Sravasti - Lumbini via Kapilvastu (B/L/D)
After breakfast, proceed to Lumbini via Kapilvastu (260 km / approx. 6 hrs). En route, pause at Kapilvastu, the childhood home of Prince Siddhartha before he renounced worldly life to seek enlightenment.

Important Note: A double-entry Indian visa is required, as the tour re-enters India after visiting Nepal. A Nepal visa can be obtained on arrival.

Upon reaching Lumbini, check in to your hotel and enjoy lunch. Later, visit the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha, marked by the Maya Devi Temple and the Ashoka Pillar. Stroll through the monastic zone, where international monasteries built by Buddhist nations showcase their architectural styles. Return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 06: Lumbini - Kushinagar (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive to Kushinagar (175 km / approx. 4 hrs), the site of Lord Buddha’s Mahaparinirvana. On arrival, check in to your hotel and have lunch. Later, visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple, housing a reclining Buddha statue, and the Rambhar Stupa, which marks the cremation site of Lord Buddha. The serene ambience of Kushinagar inspires deep reflection. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 07: Kushinagar - Varanasi (B/L/D)
After breakfast, proceed to Varanasi (245 km / approx. 5 hrs), one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. On arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, visit Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Explore the Dhamek Stupa, Deer Park, and the Archaeological Museum. Return to Varanasi in the evening for dinner and shopping in its bustling bazaars.

Day 08: Varanasi - Bodhgaya (B/L/D)
Early in the morning, take a serene boat ride on the River Ganges to witness the spectacular sunrise and observe locals performing their rituals on the ghats. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then drive to Bodhgaya. On arrival, check in to your hotel and have lunch. In the evening, visit the Mahabodhi Temple, the holiest Buddhist shrine, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment beneath the Bodhi Tree. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09: Bodhgaya (B/L/D)
After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya. Visit the Sujata Temple, honouring the woman who offered milk-rice to Buddha before his enlightenment, and the Niranjana River, associated with his meditation. Explore the Mahabodhi Temple Complex, marvel at the towering 80-foot Buddha Statue, and visit monasteries built by different countries, reflecting the global reverence for Buddhism. Lunch and dinner will be served at your hotel.

Day 10: Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Rajgir (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive to Rajgir, once the capital of the Magadha Empire and an important site in Buddha’s life. Visit Gridhakuta Hill (Vulture’s Peak), where Buddha delivered many sermons, the Venuvana Monastery, gifted by King Bimbisara, and the remains of Bimbisara’s Jail. Return to the hotel for lunch. Later, proceed to Nalanda (70 km) to explore the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University, once a great centre of Buddhist learning. Return to Rajgir in the evening for dinner.

Day 11: Rajgir - Vaishali (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive to Vaishali (170 km / approx. 4 hrs). On arrival, check in to your hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Ashoka Pillar, believed to commemorate Buddha’s last sermon, the Relic Stupa, and the Shanti Stupa. Vaishali is also significant as the birthplace of Mahavira, the founder of Jainism, making it a site of shared spiritual heritage. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 12: Vaishali - Patna - Departure (B/L)
After breakfast, relax at the hotel. Enjoy an early lunch before transferring to Patna Airport to board your flight to Kolkata.
