Delhi Haridwar Rishikesh with Corbett Tour

Five days from Delhi: evening aarti in Haridwar, ashrams and bridges in Rishikesh, and a jeep safari in Corbett. A private car and driver are arranged.

Delhi Haridwar Rishikesh with Corbett Tour

Duration: 4 Nights / 5 Days
Destinations Covered: Delhi → Haridwar → Rishikesh → Jim Corbett National Park → Delhi

The Delhi Haridwar Rishikesh with Corbett Tour joins two very different sides of Uttarakhand in one short trip. For the first three days you stay close to the Ganga, in the pilgrim town of Haridwar and the yoga town of Rishikesh. For the last two days you move into the forest and spend a night near Jim Corbett National Park.

This is a 4 Nights/5 Days private tour from Delhi. You travel in an AC car with a driver, so there are no bus timings to catch. Your pickup can be from a Delhi hotel, the airport or a railway station, and the tour can end at the same place.

The trip suits families, couples and small groups who want a mix of faith, quiet and nature without a long holiday. It also suits parents travelling with older relatives, because the pace is easy and the drives are broken up with rest stops.

Tour Highlights

  • Haridwar: The evening Ganga Aarti, a dip in the river and the hilltop temples of Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi.
  • Rishikesh: Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Parmarth Niketan, Swarg Ashram and Gita Bhawan.
  • Neelkanth Mahadev Temple: A forest temple in the hills above Rishikesh.
  • Adventure option: River rafting or rappelling in Rishikesh, for those who want it.
  • Jim Corbett: A jeep safari in India’s oldest national park, plus a night near the forest.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar
Your driver meets you in Delhi in the morning. We leave early to beat the city traffic and take the highway towards Uttarakhand. The distance is roughly 210 to 250 km depending on your pickup point, and it takes about 5 to 6 hours with a tea and lunch break.

After you check in at your hotel in Haridwar and rest, you head to the ghats. Haridwar's main ghat is Har Ki Pauri, where pilgrims take a holy dip in the Ganga. In the evening, a large crowd gathers for the aarti, when priests lift lamps and the river fills with floating diyas. The ceremony usually runs around sunset, so timings shift by season. Arrive about 45 minutes early to get a good spot on the steps.

Overnight in Haridwar.

Day 2: Haridwar sightseeing, then Rishikesh
After breakfast, we visit the two hill temples that overlook the town. Mansa Devi Temple is reached by a ropeway or a steep walk, and the top gives a wide view of the river and the plains. Chandi Devi Temple sits on another hill across the town and also has a ropeway. Both are busy on weekends and festival days, so we go early.

Later you can walk along the other ghats, shop for rudraksha beads, brass items and sweets in the bazaar near Har Ki Pauri, and have a simple vegetarian lunch. Around 4 to 5 PM we drive about 25 km to Rishikesh, which takes under an hour. You check in and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight in Rishikesh.

Day 3: Rishikesh Sightseeing
Rishikesh is a different town from Haridwar. It is calmer, with ashrams, cafes and mountain views. The day starts with a drive up to Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, a shrine set in the forest above the town. The road is winding, so the trip takes a while, but the temple is a quiet stop.

Back in the town, you visit Gita Bhawan and Swarg Ashram, then walk to Parmarth Niketan, one of the best-known ashrams on the river. The evening aarti here is smaller and slower than the one in Haridwar. You can also walk across Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, the two suspension bridges over the Ganga. Both are pedestrian bridges and are crowded in the afternoon, so go in the morning if you want photos.

If you want adventure, you can add river rafting or rappelling with a licensed operator. Rafting usually runs from the upper stretch of the river and is seasonal, so we confirm availability and rates before booking. Overnight in Rishikesh.

Day 4: Rishikesh to Jim Corbett
After breakfast, we drive to Corbett, about 4 hours depending on traffic and which gate you use. The road passes small towns and then enters greener, quieter country as you near the park.

You check in at your resort near the forest, have lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you go on a jeep safari with a forest guide. You may see spotted deer, sambar, wild elephants, crocodiles, peacocks and a wide range of birds. Tigers do appear, but only some visitors see one. Overnight in Corbett.

Day 5: Corbett to Delhi
If you want an extra morning safari, you can book one in advance, because seats are limited. After breakfast, you check out and start the drive back to Delhi, about 260 km and 5 to 6 hours. We drop you at your hotel, the airport or the railway station. Tour ends.
